JETP - Just Energy Transition Partnerships

Just Energy Transition Partnerships (JETP) are financing cooperation mechanisms designed to facilitate energy transitions in fossil-dependent economies with the support of international public and private finance. They focus on cutting emissions in parallel to promoting sustainable economic development, low-carbon employment opportunities and support for workers and communities affected by the accelerated transition away from fossil-based energy.

To date, South Africa, Indonesia, Vietnam and Senegal have announced JETPs with financing commitments from a number of partner countries and private sector groups. SIPET provides a hub of up-to-date information on the Indonesian and Vietnamese JETPs, including a library of relevant resources and overview of events.
