Solar Energy Management System Project
Whenever the energy from the sun falls on the solar panel, then the energy can be absorbed through the photovoltaic cells. The energy conversion from solar to electrical in the solar cells can be done with the help of silicon semiconductors using the effect of PV. The converted energy is in the form of DC so that it can directly charge the battery.

Solar-Aquaculture Habitats as Resource-Efficient and Integrated Multilayer Production Systems (SHRIMPS)
The SHRIMPS project aims to reduce freshwater consumption, wastewater, CO2 emissions and pollutant inputs as well as achieve farms’ greater resilience to the impacts of climate change. It will also improve the economic situation of rural areas in the Mekong region, contribute to greater energy security, promote sustainable shrimp breeding methods and create a platform for international and interdisciplinary knowledge transfer.
June 2021 - October 2023
Climate Protection through Sustainable Bioenergy Markets in Vietnam (BEM)
The Climate Protection through Sustainable Bioenergy Markets in Vietnam project aims to improve the preconditions for sustainable use of biomass for electricity and heat generation in the country. The project will focus more on the improvement of planning, technical and financial capacities of respective actors in the biomass energy sector in order to realize bankable investment projects.
March 2022 - June 2025
Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (4E) Phase II
The main objective of the 4E Project is to further develop the legal, regulatory and institutional preconditions as well as related capacities to channel investment towards renewable energy and energy efficiency. The energy sector governance is enhanced, and the regulatory framework and legal basis are in place for the large-scale expansion of renewable energy as well as the implementation of energy efficiency measures and for the compliance with the climate change commitments of Viet Nam. Further depth has been added to the specialist knowledge of decision-makers for the successful formulation and implementation of policy guidelines in the sector.

The previous section looked at the energy output from wind farms across the world. Energy output is a function of power (installed capacity) multiplied by the time of generation.

Energy generation is therefore a function of how much wind capacity is installed. This interactive chart shows installed wind capacity – including both onshore and offshore – across the world.

Copy - Energising Development (EnDev) Indonesia

The project is ensuring sustainable access to modern energy for 228,000 people in rural areas, as well as 1,650 social institutions such as schools and health centres, and 2,350 rural businesses through the application of renewable energy technologies. It is also institutionalising the know-how and experiences to the local actors.
